Faisal Al Bannai, Secretary General of the Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC), has been named one of the 100 most influential people in artificial intelligence (AI) by TIME magazine, joining the likes of Google’s Sundar Pichai and OpenAI’s Sam Altman.
The annual TIME100 AI list highlights the most influential individuals in AI and celebrates innovators and visionaries shaping the
future of the technology across various sectors.

Under H.E. Faisal Al Bannai’s leadership, ATRC has driven transformative advancements in AI, particularly through
the development of the Falcon LLM series by the Technology Innovation Institute (TII), ATRC’s applied research arm.
Falcon, an open-source series of AI models, is designed to democratize access to AI technology, fostering global equity
and ensuring its benefits are accessible to all.
Al Bannai has also been instrumental in launching AI71, a company that delivers AI-driven solutions across multiple domains,
